Future rewrite

In this work I am interested in exploring the potential 'customization' of offspring while in the womb or even before conception. The parents' have the choice to select desirable traits from their own stock or even alter the genetic data to make the preferred child. For me the future of this closely resembles the way we might customize a commercial product.
