TEMPERAMENT STUDY

Year: 2012

Method: Slab built and fired to cone 04

Materials: Low fire clay, underglazes, wood
Measurements: 6.50 X 6.50 X 1.50 Inches (H x W x D)

In this work, I gathered data based on Dr. Keirsey's research (related to the Myers-Briggs) into the four main temperament groups. From each, a commonly used gesture was observed and documented through underglaze painting onto these four tiles.

While discussing this work in person, I would observe my subjects (unaware) and match them with a tile and gesture.  This both aids in my own research and adds a performance component.
