Year: 2012
Method: Handbuilt and fired to cone 6
Materials: Porcelain, underglazes, raw clay, water, glass
Measurements: 17.00 X 10.00 X 10.00 Inches (H x W x D)
This work was made in response to the change in state politics I observed after moving from Buffalo, New York to Manhattan, Kansas. In particular the recent repeal of the anti-discrimination ordinance, which would now make it legal, in Manhattan, for and employer to fire an employee for being gay, if they claimed it was for religious reasons.
