Systems Art

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systems_art

Their definition of system sounds more like formula. I had no idea branches of Modernism fell under Systems art and it certainly has never been brought up in any of my art history classes.

So it is cybernetic only if the information sent out is after perceived and regenerated, not simple the creation of information.

Generative systems reminds me or an article about intuitive design where the interface was fluid to the user. Could this simply be about good design to generate art?

Oh process art. I have very strong feeling about the idea of process usurping the importance of the object, but I’ve never referred to it as process, just as the idea without product where emphasis is put on the concept behind the process rather than a product. I have a lot of questions about this as the documentation of the process becomes a product also, does it not?
